Held on the last Sunday of each month, the ‘Markets on the Mountain’ is sponsored by the local State School on land at the corner of Curtis and Long Road. Renowned for some of the best burgers in town, here you can enjoy a walking breakfast with pancakes, or a burger, bacon and egg roll from the canteen, washed down with a hot coffee or tea.
These markets bring together growers, clothing, tools, woodwork, face-painting for the kids and the list is endless — something for everyone. Search through the huge collections of books, antiques and the rare oddities.
Lots of ornamental plants and fruit trees are also a feature, as well as vendors selling soaps and creams, clothes and toys and fascinating bric-a-brac and memorabilia. Be early as all the best bargains are usually gone by 10.00am!
Come on up to Tamborine Mountain, stay a day, stay awhile, you will not be disappointed!
