A La Carte in the Park returns this August in a waterfront celebration of gastronomic delight with fine food, fine wine, live music and cooking shows at the riverside Lionel Perry Park in Surfers Paradise.

As an initiative of the Surfers Paradise Alliance, the family friendly food affair explores and celebrates the best dining experiences on the Gold Coast from Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 of August.

The Chefs of Surfers Paradise will feature the city’s finest culinary experts demonstrating their talents whilst quality Gold Coast restaurants and hotels showcase stalls serving delicious fare.

Multicultural cuisine, gourmet dishes and wine tastings will also highlight the richness and diversity of the region’s foodie culture.

Adding to the atmosphere of food, wine and the foodie market place, will be all day live entertainment featuring a variety of classic, orchestral and acoustic music performances drawn from the Gold Coast region and throughout Queensland.

The entertainment program will feature performances by a dynamic schedule of bands and solo artists, including Australia’s Got Talent’s Liam Burrows plus quartet on Saturday, and Brisbane’s six-piece pop band, Cheap Fakes, on Sunday.

After a day of fine food, wine and picnicking in the sunshine, the sunset concert on the banks of the river will culminate in a spectacular music and fireworks finale as a special treat on the Saturday night.

A La Carte in the Park presented by The Law Shack will be held in Lionel Perry Park, Peninsular Drive, Surfers Paradise from 11am – 6pm on Saturday 8, and 11am – 5pm on Sunday 9 August, 2015.

Tickets are available via presale at ticketmates, and also at the gate for $10 per person, with free entry for seniors, students and children under the age of 18.
