Facilities
Parking & Amenities
The parking facilities are great with heaps of spots including disabled parking and boat trailer spots. Toilets with all abilities access available.
BBQ and Picnic
4 BBQs available for use, 2 at each picnic table. There are 2 large covered picnic tables, plenty of shade for a traditional blanket on the ground picnic. There is about 100m between each BBQ are and picnic table giving space for picnics to spread out under the trees or at the tables.
Entertainment
Play Equipment
No shade over a small play area. The equipment is in fair condition.
Swimming
The swimming beach is great with a sectioned off area of the river to keep children safe from boats. A large area of sand for play adds to the beautiful spot.
Water Sports
On the other side of the parking lot is boat ramp and small pier for viewing the water.
Lovely little spot, but please be warned on a hot and humid day and you have the tasty skin for midgees you will be eaten! You can feel your skin being bitten and two days later scratching and then crusty little blisters! My suggestion would be wear repellent before you go there as I think the mangroves and sand are a haven for these little human succulents. Otherwise a nice little spot.
Thanks, Ali. That is a very helpful suggestion!
