Out of the Box – A Festival for Kids aged 8 and under

If you’re up for doing a trip or two to Brisbane during the school holidays, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) is sure to make it worth your while. They have a whole festival of events lined up specifically for children.

Human. Animal. Monster. Friend.

A theme that’s sure to get the imagination pumping.

For 8 days, Out of the Box will transform the Performing Arts Centre on Brisbane’s South Bank into a hive of buzzing excitement and cultural experiences for kids. There are theatre acts, musical performances and a multitude of free activities to get involved in.

We’ve assembled the details on the performance events for you below, which all run for several days.

But there is so much else you and your little ones could get involved in. Try your hand at Bollywood dancing, help design a typeface, explore the possibilities of dance and drama, or see what they can discover in Playbox! And these are just a handful of the activities going on around the Cultural Centre.
