Dreamworld

About

Dreamworld is perhaps the most well known theme park on the Gold Coast for kids offering a range of fun activities for children of all ages (and their parents). Located at Coomera on 30 hectares of land, dreamworld offers dry and water rides, animal encounters and arcade type atmospheres.

Theme Park for the thrill seekers

Dreamworld is well recognized as Australia’s favourite theme park so it is any wonder it is home to over 8 thrill rides from the giant drop with a freefall from 38 storeys to the Tower of Terror which has the acclaim of being one of the tallest and fastest thrill rides in the world.  There are height restrictions and health restrictions on all of these thrill rides which are clearly marked as you go to enter the rides. It can be a good idea to prepare adventurous Gold Coast Kids who are on the short side to be open to the chance they may not meet these height requirements.

Theme Park fun for the little Gold Coast Kids

Most recently Madagascar World has arrived on the Gold Coast to WOW Gold Coast Kids with a 20 minute show with all the move favourites including the hilarious King Julian with entry to the show included as part of your ticket. This show expands into Madagascar Madness with a host of family friendly attractions and rides linked to this popular movie. This is also linked to other attractions also designed around movies including Kung Fu Panda and Shrek attractions and rides.

Wiggles World is another popular section of Dreamworld for the littlest members of your family with a host of rides including Dorothy’s Teacup Ride, Big Red Car Ride, SS Feathersword Ship and the Fun Stop with further related Wiggles activities.

Family Rides

The Family Rides at Dreamworld include the AVIS Vintage cars, the Dreamworld Railway, Reef Diver, Thunder River Rapids Ride, Rocky Hollow Log Ride and the Shockwave Ride. These are all group rides where the entire family can enjoy the fun together (children under the age of 1 are not allowed on any rides without exception).

Wildlife

Dreamworld is well known for its Tiger Island which will give your Gold Coast Kid the opportunity to be able to see a white tiger and even observe feeding times. There are opportunities to pay to participate in animal encounters with the white tigers or sit back and watch the keepers wrestle and play with the cats in their habitat. Dreamworld also offers the chance to see Australian wildlife from a sheep shearing show, cuddling koalas, feeding kangaroos right through to checking out crocodiles in a Kakadu inspired enclosure.

We have only touched on the variety of rides, attractions and fun to be had at Dreamworld but you can rest assured of a big day out your Gold Coast Kids will remember. Dreamworld offers a range of activities, rides and experiences for the entire family and you are encouraged to head to their website first to plan your itinerary for the day.
